Montes

Montes was a mercenary leader who worked for Hilary Driscoll. Montes had a grudge against Jonas Taylor due to the fact that Jonas landed him in prison in Manila for two years after he was caught dumping waste in the ocean by Jonas and his crew.

Biography[]

Past[]

Not much is known about Montes' past, but he was involved in several illegal polluting activities in the Pacific; before his ship was seized by Jonas Taylor and his crew. He was then imprisoned in Manila for two years and swore revenge against Jonas every day until he got out. He was also involved in a romantic relationship with Jess.

Meg 2: The Trench[]

Sometime after Montes' release, he was hired by Mana One's financier, Hilary Driscoll to lead a crew and covertly use the station's access to the Mariana Trench to mine rare earth minerals. Using the technology created by Mana One's current owner, Jiuming Zhang, his crew managed to remain undetected long enough to set up a fully operational mining station in the trench.

Montes' role in the illegal mining operations were soon discovered during Mana One's annual deep sea dive, conducted by both Jonas and Jiuming. Upon realizing he had been found, Montes set off several explosives to destroy the evidence of the operation, killing his crew while grounding Jonas and Jiuming.

Afterwards; when Montes returned to the station, he encountered Jonas; who managed to survive the crash and take refuge in the facility along with Jiuming.
